| Utilizing
its new, innovative co-polymer technology, Wellman has re-engineered comfort
into a high-performance fiber.

ComFortrel
XP for Base Layer Apparel:
ComFortrel XP is a feel-good fiber that puts comfort
first, because it allows for superior breathability and wickability in
soft, natural-feeling fabrics. Moisture doesnt sit on the skin,
or get trapped in the fabric. Skin temperature doesnt get too hot
or too chilled. Through a unique patented polymer modification and the
physical design of the fiber itself, ComFortrel XP gives fabrics a fresher,
softer, noticeably cooler feeling. This is why it shows superb comfort
ratings and exceptional technical performance characteristics in both
wear trials and laboratory testing.
The high-performance attributes which sportswear, activewear,
hosiery and performance underwear demand are built right in.
ComFortrel XP is inherently extra-white, as well,
so it gives color a boost and holds color longer. It maintains a superior
laundered appearance, wash after wash.
Co-polymer Technology:
ComFortrel XP® is a co-polymer of polyester,
which utilizes a patented advancement that embraces a new and innovative
body of chemistry for producing synthetic fibers.
Wellmans
exceptional family of next generation fibers, developed from this technology
(i.e. ComFortrel XP®, Sensura®, ComFortrel Plus®, and Spunnaire®)
are made into fabrics that have a gentle hand, are easy to dye, have an
inherent moisture transport ability, excellent abrasion resistance, dimensional
stability, exceptional color-fastness, and are atmospherically dyeable.
Wellmans long-term goal is to create other variants within the boundaries
of the patent that will qualify as new generic fibers.
