Everest Bases it New Ultra-Lightweight Fabric on NILIT Yarns, Declaring it “the World’s Lightest Fabric” (7/25/10)
Migdal Ha'emek, Israel — July 25th, 2010 — NILIT®, a global leader in the production of nylon 
6.6,– today announced that the new, lightest weight-ever fabric from Everest Textile Co., is 
based on NILIT ‘s Flat 6/4 yarn. Everest, an R&D-oriented and vertically integrated textile 
manufacturer, recently launched its Ever Ultra Light Weight 5 denier fabric, which it proclaims is 
“the lightest and finest fabric in the world”. Debuted in February at the ISPO and PV exhibitions, 
this new fabric has already attracted widespread attention and inquiries.
 
In part due to global warming, light and thin fabrics have become a very strong apparel trend. To 
fill this demand, Everest has invested in researching and developing ultra-lightweight fabrics. 
This new product, Ever Ultra Light Weight 5 denier, has been nicknamed “The Emperor's New 
Clothes,” highlighting its extreme light weight – as it feels as if nothing is being worn. 

Furthermore, Ever Ultra Light is cleverly armed with windproof light rain resistance, high abrasion, 
high tearing strength (max. 900g) and easy-pack functionality. Ever Ultra Light is perfect for 
sports and causal wear such as running clothes, cycling jackets, mountain climbing down coats 
and even sleeping bags and tents.
