Thermore Insulations

The Company:
Thermore® specializes in the development, manufacture and sale of thermal insulation for outerwear and related products.  It is one of the leading companies in the global textile industry.  Established in Milan, Italy, in 1972, the company has a commercial network at an international level and offers a comprehensive collection of thermal insulation products. The research into new technologies, as well as understanding the needs of its customers, is the main focus of the group. The aim of Thermore is to offer state-of-the-art products, optimize production processes, maximize investments and respect the environment.

Thermore® Products:

  • THERMORE® TMK:  Maximum design flexibility for outerwear and related accessories.
    • The patented SR (special reduction) process allows up to four thicknesses of insulation per weight category:  High Loft, Compact, Super Compact, Ultra compact
    • The SR process allows a variance in the thickness of a chosen weight without a proportional loss in thermal value.

    • Warm, light, and compressible sleeping bag.

      Stay in the comfort zone,
      all day and all night

  • THERMORE T37® DYNAMIC:  The Smart Insulation
    • Self-adjusting Thermal Product — Thermal resistance (clo value, tog rating, etc.) changes according to varying weather conditions to extend the comfort range of the user.
    • Smart Insulation — During colder conditions, the thermal gates / chemical microspaces close, and maximum thermal efficiency is achieved.

    • Ball A is "warm". We can assume we are inside a Thermore® garment. The outside temperature is low.

The thermal gates are closed: ball A cannot reach ball B, and no heat dissipation occurs.

Ball A is "warm". This time, however, the outside temperature is higher, and in a real-life situation we would start perspiring.

But the thermal gates are now open: ball A can reach ball B and excess heat is dissipated.

  • THERMORE ECODOWN®:  The Soft Touch
    • Offers the advantages of a synthetic insulation with the soft touch properties of down.
    • Made of polyester fibers and available in both traditional loft and lower loft to meet various needs.
    • Also available in Ecodown® XL for maximum loft and extra soft hand.

  • THERMORE® STRETCH:
    • Offers excellent stretch capacity and completely recovers to its original shape.
    • Available in different weights and a thin profile to fit the current trends in outerwear design.
    • Excellent substrate for bonding and lamination.
    • Machine washable and dry cleanable.

  • THERMORE OPERA®:  Open PERformance Architecture
    • Combines Thermore's high efficiency insulation with an ultra-light, windproof membrane for enhanced thermal performance
    • Can be used with a woven or most knit fabrics.
    • Available in multiple configurations to best suit the end-use.

  • THERMORE THERMA-SCENT®:  Odor Control

    • Using Rinnova® in place of traditional polyester insulation can save enough energy to light a 100-watt light bulb for an average of 60 hours.
    • Available in multiple weights and thicknesses for a wide range of weather conditions and applications for gloves and outerwear.
